Ingredients

  • 2 Apples
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup oat flakes
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil or olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda

Step by step

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin.
  2. Peel and cut the apples into small pieces.
  3. In a large container, mix the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder and baking soda.
  4. In another container, beat the eggs and add the coconut oil or olive oil. Mix well.
  5. Combine the egg mixture with the dry ingredients and stir until you obtain a homogeneous dough.
  6. Add the apple pieces to the dough and stir gently to incorporate them.
  7. Pour the dough into the cake pan in a non-stick pan.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.

  9. Let the cake cool before cutting into slices.
